DECORATING. I LOVE decorating and styling. Whether that's a room in your house, a little forgotten nook, or a small little piece on the internet.
BLUE. I love all things BLUE and you'll find it throughout my home in Richmond, VA and in our beach cottage in Duck, NC. It's calm, cool, and soothing - and it always brings me happy memories of the beach.
TRAVELING. I love traveling with my husband and kids to all kinds of fun, new places. Our family favorites include Kauai, Maui, Costa Rica, Mexico, Nashville, Charleston SC, San Diego, a few fun islands in the Bahamas, and a summertime fave - Duck, NC.
COFFEE. I love a good (strong) cup of coffee at home or an almond milk latte in a sweet local coffee shop...preferably with one or both of my girls who love coffee just as much as I do.

I earned my B.S. in Marketing Management with a minor in Communications Studies from Virginia Tech (go Hokies!) and bring more than 20 years of experience in project management, marketing, content and logo creation, and
interior design to the table.
I've been married to my high school sweetheart for over 25 years and we are proud parents to 3 wonderful kids along with a mini golden doodle. I've lived Richmond VA most of my life and love all things RVA!
My personal design aesthetic is uncluttered, joyful, coastal — light-filled spaces that feel collected and layered over time, a blend of soft hues and varied textures, and timeless pieces that feel relaxed, welcoming, and lived in.

Hillary
Meet Hillary! She’s been an essential part of DH Designs for years—quietly working her magic behind the scenes with photography, the DH Designs website, and project support on many of our designs. I’m thrilled to have her stepping into a more hands-on role with design and client sourcing and becoming a bigger presence with our design projects.
She’s my creative partner-in-crime when it comes to brainstorming tricky design dilemmas—always bringing fresh ideas and a sharp eye for detail. Hillary has such a natural gift for design and I’m so excited to officially welcome her into the spotlight as a key member of our growing team in 2026!
